What Is Wheezing?

Wheezing is a sound that is continuous and it is located in your respiratory system. There are lots of things that can cause wheezing.

Causes of wheezing include but not limited to:

- common cold
- bronchitis
- croup
- pneumonia
- asthma
- tracheomalacia
- tumor
- hay fever
- chemical poisoning
- flu
- heart failure
- lung cancer

The list goes on and on. There are over 200 causes for wheezing.

Other symptoms that might cause wheezing include:

- acute bronchitis
- adhesive abuse
- allergies
- tracheal cancer
- stridor

There are still lots of other symptoms that might cause it and treatments vary according to what causes the wheezing. When wheezing is not treated sometimes it can cause serious secondary illnesses or infections to occur and that is why treatment for wheezing should not be delayed. Sometimes it might require making a few trips to the doctor before the wheezing stops.
