What is Stomach Flu? |
Stomach Flu is a viral infection that causes disorders in the small intestine and stomach. In medical terms this condition is referred as gastroenteritis. This infection is triggered by multiple strains of viruses and lasts for a short period of 1 to 3 days only. Some of the potent viruses responsible for the spread of this illness are rotaviruses, Norwalk virus and the adenoviruses. A patient gets distressed from this condition if he consumes one of the above viruses via contaminated foods, contact with an infected person in form of kissing, hand shaking or share of personal belongings of the person affected by this condition. |
