Are Sore Throats a Part of Having a Cold?

Sore throat means itchiness or scratchiness in the throat. It causes pain and difficulty in swallowing. The common colds generally have sore throat as its symptoms. Sore throat may occur due to the flowing of the secretions through the throat due to infections in the sinus and nose. Sore throat is cause by most viral infections like cold. Sore throats are usual and it is worse in during the early hours of the day. Throat infection can arise from many reasons like breathing from mouth, flu strep throat.

People suffering from cold generally have at least a mild sore throat. Sore throat makes you feel fatigue, tired and weakness. Some of the remedies for sore throat are drink lots of fluids, drink warm water. Drink lemon tea and do gargles several times with warm water and salt. Honey and ginger are effective for sore throat. One can try throat lozenges or some liquid popsicles.

One can try some humidifier which improves air moisture. With these techniques and means sore throat can be treated effectively thou in case it’s severe one need to consult a doctor in case you have difficulty in swallowing and breathing, high fever. Though sore throat are common can be avoided by washing your hands regularly and properly usually before eating, using a good humidifier.
