Allergies have many common symptoms as a cold or flu. These symptoms may include cough, sore throat, congestion and runny nose. Cold and flu is a condition when our body gets infected with some kind of virus. There are various sources from where these viruses can be picked like they can be air borne or can come from something which you touch. Once these virus enters your body, they get attach to the cells and starts multiplying and then these new virus molecules spread the infection in the body. Though the symptoms of allergies are common to that of cold and flu but they are not caused by the infection of any virus. Allergies is basically a condition when a person’s body react poorly to various things like certain types of flowers, foods, animals, incest’s and other things. If a person is very near to the object which he is allergic to then the white blood cells of the body reacts in a certain manner which causes itchiness and various other symptoms similar to cold and flu. Cold and flu occur very suddenly and quickly and last for about two weeks. Allergies on other hand last for a longer period of time if the allergen is not removed but the symptoms of allergy usually do not progress. |
