What Is A Persistent Cough?

Sometimes when you get sick or other things happen you can develop a persistent cough that is chronic and sometimes might require treatment.

The causes of why a persistent cough might happen:

- asthma
- whooping cough
- bronchitis
- emphysema
- lung cancer

Some of these causes might develop after having a severe case of the flu or either a cold. While medications help in most cases they only reduce the amount of pain and not take away the cough. In some cases the cough might leave overtime as the body heals from the sickness that it had or have. If the cough is not treated it can develop secondary infections in some cases while in others it can cause certain disorders to start surfacing up. If you struggle with this one thing that is recommended is to keep coughdrops with you at all times to help reduce the cough.
