The swine flu outbreak is like wildfire. It also results in death and complications among many patients. Thus World Health Organization declared it as Pandemic.
Declaring swine flu as a pandemic is an official deal. Epidemic is limited to outbreak to a certain community or region. But pandemic would mean an outbreak affecting the global population. The global version o epidemic can be termed as pandemic. In 40 years there has not been such a flu which is as chronic as swine flu. With the outbreak of this flu, there were many steps taken against it for prevention and stoppage of further spread. Millions of doses of medications and antivirus were distributed and the steps were taken at the national and international level to prevent this pandemic.
It is also worth noting that pandemic swine flu causes serious effects as compared to seasonal flu. According to the researches, the researchers found that pandemic H1N1 swine flu have the capability to attach to the receptor on the cells inside the lungs. They even attach to the cells that are deep. Thus this is more dangerous and can cause serious lung problems. This pandemic outbreak like a wild fire and takes the global arena in its clutches.
