Eating pork or pork products has nothing to do with swine flu. Eating pork leads to swine flu is a myth. So, let’s find out the actual causes of swine flu.
Swine flu spreads like any other seasonal flu. In case of human to human transmission, the most common means of spread is the droplets that fall from mouth or nose while sneezing. It is therefore important to avoid coming in contact with people who are ill. And even while you are sneezing or coughing use a face mask or a tissue which can avoid the fall of droplets. This way you can discourage spread of swine flu.
It is also important to avoid touching your mouth, nose and eyes. These are common media through which this flu spreads. You must adopt all the hygienic habits including washing hands frequently with soap especially when you come from outside. Many surfaces work as germs carriers. Some of them may be the desk of your office, desk of cafeteria, the lock of your home, door closure etc. If you touch the affected surfaces and then touch your mouth, eyes and nose, you may catch this flu. |
