Dosage of Dristan Long Lasting Nasal Mist 0.05%

Two or three sprays of oxymetazoline nasal sprays can be administered for adult nasal congestion every ten to twelve hours.  No more than two doses should be applied within a 24 hour period.  The bottle’s spray tip should be rinsed in hot water after each usage.

The product should only be used for three days.  If symptoms continue after a three-day period, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.  Using oxymetazoline nasal sprays for more than three days can result in an increase in nasal congestion.  Use of the product by more than one person can spread the infection.

Dristan Long Lasting Nasal Mist 0.05% should only be used as your doctor or pharmacist has recommended.  Dosage changes should not be made without first consulting your medical care provider.

A person's medical condition, current medications, weight, and required congestion needs can affect the action of the medication.  Alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine often affect the action of various medications; therefore usage of these items should be brought to the attention of your doctor.

If you miss a dose, administer it as soon as you are able.  If it is almost time for your next dose, use this dose as the scheduled dose and continue on with your regularly scheduled applications.  Do not try to make up for the missed dose by doubling up on doses.
