Cinnamon in Treating Flu Smptoms

Cinnamon is one of the natural treatments that can be used in treating flu smyptoms, because it has the ability when taken as a tea to relieve the feelings of nausea and will stop vomiting. The botanical name of cinnamon is Cinnamomum spp. and is from the family Lauraceae, which is a spice that comes from the bark of the cinnamon tree.

The active ingredients are an essential oil of cnnamaldehyde, along with other properties that have the ability to help the symptoms of the flu. The amounts of cinnamon bark that is used as a tea and taken two or three times a day.

There are no known drug interactions with the use of cinnamon, although for some people there can be an allergic reaction and caution should be taken by woman that are pregnant and people that have duodenal ulcers.
