What Causes Pneumonia?

Millions get Pneumonia each year and it is a very common type of illness that happens. The pneumonias that have bacterial in them are almost always more serious then the others but each level of Pneumonia is dangerous.

Children and babies can even get Pneumonia. The most common ones with young children are the respiratory viruses. Children under three are often hit by that virus. After they start school they could get Mycoplasma pneumoniae instead of a respiratory viruses. The elderly often get a cold or influenza after they have had Pneumonia.

Some of the causes might be people who have had problems with swallowing or either have had a stroke, throat surgery or might have Parkinson's disease. Sometimes ones that have had a bad diet and overweight problems might be at a high risk for Pneumonia and that might cause it. That's why you should always make sure that you are eating healthy and on a good diet.
