What is Allergic Rhinitis? |
Allergic rhinitis is a form rhinitis which is a running nose situation caused by the rhinovirus. The symptoms of rhinitis are mainly seen in nose and mouth. Allergic rhinitis is type of rhinitis caused due to allergen, it’s a kind of allergy caused due to one’s allergy to minute particles which can be pollen or a dust particle. It causes an inflammation in nasal cavity. It causes running nose and irritation, sometimes also leads to swelling and may also cause increase mucus production. It is like a trigger which tends to affect your antibody of the immune system; these antibodies are attached to mast cells which contains histamine. The mast cells release the histamine when stimulated any kind of particles like dust or pollen. To evaluate it is allergic rhinitis one should be tested. The symptoms history should be studied; skin testing is a known and efficient method for evaluating rhinitis. Blood test also helps you know what allergen’s is responsible for your allergy and accordingly decide what treatment is needed. One should avoid those allergens which you are allergic to in first place, if its unavoidable one can have some natural treatments which would eliminates mucus. If it becomes severe and uncontrollable one should try some type of medication or allergy shots. |
